How to Encourage Your Church to Focus More on the End Times

Are you concerned that there may be people at your church who are not prepared for the end times struggles the Bible prophesies? Do you wish that your pastor and Bible teachers would put more emphasis on the end times? You may be able to encourage your church to focus more on the end times. I would like to share how I did just that.

I have followed various end times ministries for several years. When I see prophetic headlines, I share them with my friends at church. About a month ago, I viewed a YouTube video by Nelson Walters named Globalists Proclaim Transhumanism will Eliminate Free Will and Souls as if its a Good Thing. In this video, Nelson made it clear that we are moving rapidly toward the globalism of Mystery Babylon and the mark of the beast. I shared this video with about 20 friends at church who shared it with others. We all agreed that we should be hearing about this stuff in church. We want to prepare deliberately to support one another in our efforts to stand firm and endure what lies ahead.

How I encouraged my elders to focus on the end times

First, I asked one of our elders if I could present a burden on my heart to the pastor and elders. He scheduled me for their next meeting. Then I prayed some more about what to share and how to share it. I wanted to be sure that my words would encourage the church leaders to prioritize teaching about the end times.

When that meeting arrived, I shared from Matthew 24. Jesus described the signs of the end of the age with things such as wars, rumors of wars, earthquakes, famines, pestilences, and persecution. His primary warnings were of deception, false teaching, and a falling away.

I explained that I am concerned that the Church of America isn’t ready to identify and stand against false teaching because we are eschatologically illiterate. Next, I shared my belief that it’s time to get our congregation ready spiritually for what lies ahead. I emphasized my burden that we will all stand firm and none will fall away. I went on to state that many people say the birth pains Jesus laid out are nothing new. Those people are clearly not watching for “The End.”

I ended by sharing a list of reasons that I believe we have passed the birth pains and are definitely in the end times. Below are the eight signs I shared. For each of the signs I mentioned, I provided supporting headlines and/or video links, which I emailed to the pastor and elders to view later.

Signs that we are beyond the birth pains

  • Rise of persecution of Christians
  • Global famine expected to begin in June of this year and last through 2024
  • Global economies collapsing
  • Plans for universal religion underway
  • Conservative Jews are diligently anticipating the soon appearance of Messiah
  • Agenda 2030/The Global Reset has been moved up to 2023
  • Erdogan plans to revive the Ottoman Empire in 2023 and restart the Islamic caliphate
  • The World Economic Forum Founder Klaus Schwab has been boldly proclaiming that all humans will be implanted with brain chips by 2026

Finally, I closed by saying that if we’re not watching as Jesus warned us to, we will be unaware and unprepared to face what lies ahead. The leaders at my church agreed that persecution lies ahead, and there are probably some not prepared. They are currently praying about and planning how to address this need.

If you are concerned about your church, be bold enough to discuss it with your leaders. You might begin by sharing Jake’s blog You Already Interpret and Teach Prophecy with your pastor. If you have the opportunity speak with your leaders, feel free to re-apply my ideas. Do some research on the headlines to present, and use current headlines. By stepping out of your comfort zone, you may also be able to encourage your church to focus more on the end times.
